Tip it on the side, gently, to see what might fall out by the use of gravity. You won't see any big pieces of keys falling off, but you will notice mini pieces of indescribable items just fall out.

Failure to align the tabs could result in a malfunction of the computer or damage to the cable and/or the cable connector.
